About the event
In a world where communication often feels rushed, distracted, or disconnected, many of us are longing for more meaningful ways to relate to ourselves and one another. Deep, authentic connection is essential to our well-being and forms the foundation of healthy, fulfilling relationships.
In this experiential workshop, co-facilitators Wan Chang-Hamachi and Marlene Urban-Funk will explore the intersection of Zen Buddhism and relational communication. Through reflection, mindful awareness, and interactive practices, we’ll examine how presence can help us listen more deeply, express ourselves more authentically, and approach our relationships with greater openness and compassion.
Together, we’ll practice slowing down, noticing our habitual patterns of communication, and creating space for genuine connection. You’ll leave with practical tools that can support clearer communication and more connected relationships in your everyday life.
This workshop welcomes anyone interested in cultivating greater presence, understanding, and authenticity in the way they relate to themselves and others.
